ThermoelectricWrist Cuff

Undergrad Senior Project

The Thermoelectric Wrist Cuff, affectionately named the Torture Device by it's creators NEI (Natalie, Eryn, and Ito), is a thermoelectric temperature regulation device that a user can wear around their wrist. The device takes advantage of the localized temperature-sensitive area on the inner wrist to control their perceived body temperature, making them feel more comfortable. Our primary reason for building this device was to help combat a condition known as Raynaud's disease or cold extremities that can cause physical pain if body temperature is not regulated closely enough.

My part in this project was the creation of an android app designed to communicate with the microprocessor. The flow chart of all the pages the user can interact with can be seen on slide one, a preview of some of the pages can be seen on slide two, and a short video of a fully working prototype is on slide three. This was all done using Java in Android Studios. For more in-depth information (sixty pages worth) click the documentation button that links to a pdf. The app section starts on page 33.
